6. Cookies & Pixels
Similar to other commercial websites, this Site and all associated digital pages and our social media channels utilizes a standard digital technology called "cookies" (see explanation below), server logs, and/or pixels to collect information about how our web pages and social channels are used.
Information gathered through cookies, server logs and pixels may include the date and time of your visits, the pages viewed, the time spent on our digital pages or social channels, video view length, bounce rate, your IP address, and websites visited immediately after our Site, for example.
A cookie is a very small text document which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a website or landing page, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.
You can adjust the settings on your computer to decline or reduce any cookies as you wish. This can be done within the “settings” section of your computer. For more information, please read the advice at AboutCookies.org for EU-related cookie matters, and this link for a July 2024 article related to Google’s cookie initiatives.
The Cancer Prevention Movement brand in its entirety per Clause 1 hereto also reserves the right to use technological equivalents of cookies, including, but not limited to, social media pixels. These pixels allow our social media platforms to track visitors to our website or various landing pages so as to tailor our marketing efforts for users while visiting any of our sites and social media channels. The Business reserves the right to use these pixels in compliance with the policies of the various social media channels.
7. Third Party Use of Cookies

This may include advertisers, third party networks and servers, content and service providers, and/or application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our Site, all associated web pages, and/or our social media channels.
The information they collect may be associated with your personal information, or they may collect information (including personal information) about your online activities over time and across different websites and other digital platforms. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based, behavioral advertising or other targeted content.
We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they are used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, including non-CPM Google retargeting adverts, please contact the responsible provider directly.
8. IP Addresses & External Links
IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the internet. Your IP address is a number used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by our web server as part of demographic and profile data known as “traffic data”, so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to you.
https://www.CanPreventMovement.org and all our associated digital pages and social media channels may contain links to external websites, plug-ins, applications, landing pages, affiliate sites and/or other social media sites. By clicking on those links or enabling those connections, you may allow third parties to collect or share data about you.
We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information found at any linked site, nor do we control third party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy statements, nor can we control their privacy policies or any other third party applications or integrations.
It is hereby acknowledged, accepted and agreed by you that links to or from any external sites not owned or controlled by the Business do not automatically constitute an endorsement by the CPM brand, the THMG, Dr Melanie Palomares’s other business initiatives such as Dr Mel’s 360 Wellness Coaching, or any of our agents, representatives, brand associates, strategic partners or affiliates, or our employees.

Because some of our third party service providers are based outside the EEA, their processing of your personal data will involve the transfer of data outside the EEA should this pertain to you as an EEA-based user of the Site, or whether as a client or patient either now or in the future.
Whenever we transfer your personal data out the EEA, we do our best to maintain a high degree of data security by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is in place:

b) Where we use certain service providers (such as Microsoft or Stripe), we may use specific contracts or codes of conduct or certification mechanisms approved by the European Commission which give personal data the same protection as it has in Europe; or
c) If we use US-based service providers that are part of the EU-US Privacy Shield, we may transfer data to them as they have equivalent safeguards in place.
If none of the above safeguards are available, we may request your explicit consent to a specific data transfer as and if required to fulfill our obligations and compliance. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by requesting so to: health@CanPreventMovement.com.
